Hong Kong!

Was a blast. It was exactly how I imagined it to be. Vibrant and colorful! :) the streets signs that hung over the bustling streets were really bright!

On the first day after we touched the tarmac, we went to put down our luggage at the hotel and went to Lamma island. The weather was excruciatingly hot, but good thing it wasn't humid. We took the ferry there and I saw HK's beautiful coast. There were many yachts too. Hk ppl too rich uh. Once we reached Lamma, we went to find the famous restaurant to have their seafood. Walk walk walk, walk until get lost in the village houses there. LOL. Then we had to ask directions from the residents. One of them said we had to 上山下山 to get there, and it was getting late so he advise us to just go to any one of the restaurants nearby to eat. So we picked one near the ferry pick up point and the seafood was really good! We had crab, and other stuff, I forgot.

At night we went back to the hotel to settle down and sleep. I had to sleep on the couch :(

Day 2 was pretty eventful. Other than a few tantrums thrown around by someone, it was pretty alright I guess? We went to a congee shop to have breakfast and it was the BEST congee I have EVER had. Seriously! :D we were damn full after that. Okay next, ocean park! The rides are definitely more varied than USS, but USS rides are newer and better :) it was still fun though :) didn't eat lunch cos we were so full from breakfast. There was this super cool roller coaster where the tracks were laid so that we we practically flying over this fantastic view of a yacht bay/cove. :D too bad we were too busy screaming to see all that. Afterwards, dinner at some place (I forgot) and a little walk at the night market. Nothing but a place of fake items and scammers :/ We left and went back to bathe and change into fancy clothes for Operation Backstage (the clubbing/pubs district). I didn't bring any fancy clothes so I had to borrow them lol oops. We got kinda lost on the way there, and kept asking Q for directions that she got pissed off and we kinda had to cab there from where we were. I swear I think a big amt of $$ went to the cab fares. when we reached the place, we walked ard to have a look-see before going into one of the pubs. Anyways Q got irritated us being indecisive and when we reached a pub it was so awkward!! Damn scary I tell you, the atmosphere was really like an icy hell. Sigh. Sherry and I were reluctant to order any hard liquor at first ( this pissed Q off further ), but the atmosphere was too horrible alr I suggested a game to play and the loser had to take a shot. So we ordered 6 shots and proceeded. The first loser took it quite badly and the shot was spat on the floor. I see alr damn scared cos it's my first shot (yes I know: lame). I lost next and everything went better than expected. Haha. Afterwards the happy lot of us went to a karaoke lounge to sing/slack/sleep. LOL, the lounge was damn posh and big! The couch was comfortable too haha. Too bad there weren't many English songs for me to choose from. Ah well. Accompanied Lucy back to the hotel to sleep while the other 3 sang till 5.45am. They got lost while coming back so they reached the hotel much later at 8am.

Day 3! hmm. I think we shopped. Yeah we shopped at the huge F21. Hahaha reminds me of someone whenever I step inside. Okay back to the story. Sigh, another day, another outburst. Q couldn't find us in F21 so she waited outside the store for us for 1 hour. I thought that she should've just continued to shop and look for us. Anyways she went back to the hotel before us and when we got back, the atmosphere was chilly again. we went to a dim sum place for dinner after resting for a while. Food was great hahaha, wth I sound like a pig saying "food was great!" all the time. But it really was! Cabbed back (again, cos it was 1am and the trains were not running) but this time the driver was a dapper chap and he knew English! So we were talking and cracking jokes w him. Hahaha quite funny.

Last day! We woke up to pack, and. Went to take a shuttle bus to the airport to check in our luggage first. Went to buy Lao po bing and other last minute things before going to Sha Tin to have roast pigeons. As disgusting as it sounds, it was the best meal I had in HK (haha pig!) Tastes like duck. Went to the airport, and before we knew it, we landed in good ol' Singapore. Dad was early (yay) and we sped home so I could sleep before giving tuition the next day. :)

I think I've missed out some parts, but who cares lol I can't remember them anyways.

Next post, smu camp!
